South Lake Fishing Guide Highlights 🎣 🐟 :

  • Fish Species: The South Lake is stocked with various species, including bass, sunfish (such as bluegill and redear), carp, and crappie. Grass carp are also present to control aquatic weeds; these fish are tagged and must be released immediately if caught.
  • Fishing Permit: Residents can acquire a fishing permit by visiting the Community Center. The permit is valid for a calendar year (January through December) and requires the submission of a Fishing Regulations and Log Booklet upon renewal.
  • Private Access: South Lake fishing is reserved for Woodbridge residents who have obtained a fishing permit from the Woodbridge Village Association (WVA). Guests must be accompanied by a member or possess a valid guest identification card.
